The payment page automatically detects eligible international credit cards and converts a transaction from the merchant's local currency to the eligible foreign currency of the cardholder at the point of sale. A DCC offer is automatically displayed on the screen allowing the cardholder to make an active choice and continue to process in the offered currency or the merchant's local currency. If the card is domestic, it is not eligible for a DCC offer, and the payment is processed in the merchant's local currency.
DCC is only permitted on Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards.

If your customer chooses to pay in their own currency their transaction will be converted with the current FX rate at the time of the transaction. This rate is inclusive of the disclosed margin. The rate will be displayed at the check out.
To sign up for SecurePay and Dynamic Currency Conversion, you will need to create an account with SecurePay and complete the application form. You must sign up for SecurePay's 'All-in-one' payment gateway and integrate with SecurePay API.
If you are an existing merchant with an 'All-in-one' payment gateway and integrated with SecurePay API, you can apply for Dynamic Currency Conversion when you log in to your account and visit the 'payment features' page. If you are using SecurePay but not integrated with SecurePay API, you will need to migrate to our SecurePay API solution.
SecurePay API is the only integration method that you can integrate with to start accepting Dynamic Currency Conversion transactions.

No, you can only initiate a Dynamic Currency Conversion payment via SecurePay API.
Once you have been approved and received your welcome email, you will be onboarded for DCC within 5 business days. In the meantime, integrate with SecurePay API to be able to process DCC payments.
Your customers transaction will be processed as a standard international transaction and they will only have the option to pay in AUD.
This happens when your customer is checking out using an AUD card. DCC functionality only appears when an international card is entered.
Refunds can only be initiated via the SecurePay Merchant Portal.
You can only initiate a full refund for Dynamic Currency Conversion transactions. If you try to initiate a partial refund for a DCC transaction, you will receive a "100 – Invalid Transaction Amount" error message.
You will see the refund amount in FX currency and the AUD amount in the merchant portal.
All DCC transactions (including refunds) can be seen in the SecurePay merchant portal.
You are entitled to a 0.5% rebate, subject to agreement. The rebate will be paid to you the following month and will appear on your daily settlement advice and your monthly consolidated tax invoice which will also include a breakdown of your rebate.
